FAQ

Is this a retreat?

No. This is a coliving stay, not a retreat and not a course. There’s no fixed programme, no daily schedule, and nothing you have to do.

Do I have to take part in the group activities?

No. Shared moments like dinners or walks are optional. You’re free to join in when you feel like it, or keep time to yourself.

Who is this for?

It’s for adults who enjoy calm places, simple living, and good conversation. Many guests travel solo and prefer something more human than a hotel, but less structured than a retreat.

Will I have my own room?

Yes. Everyone has a private room in a shared apartment. Bathrooms may be private or shared with one other room, depending on availability.

Can I work remotely while I’m there?

Yes. There are dedicated coworking spaces with WiFi, and the village is generally quiet—well suited to focused, light remote work.

How long should I stay?

Most people stay between one and two weeks, but dates are flexible. If you’d like to stay longer, just let us know and we’ll check availability.

I’ve never done coliving before — is that a problem?

Not at all. Many guests are new to coliving. The group is small and the atmosphere is relaxed, so it’s easy to settle in.

What’s included in the stay?

Your room, use of all shared spaces (kitchen, coworking, lounge), and a few simple shared moments such as welcome and closing dinners and a local walk or visit.

What isn’t included?

Flights, transfers, and daily meals. This keeps things flexible and avoids turning the stay into a packaged tour.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes. We’re pet-friendly and dogs are welcome at no extra cost. Just let us know in advance.

How do I get there?

Vallo di Nera is in Umbria, Italy. After booking, we’ll send clear travel instructions. Transfers can be arranged if needed.

What happens after I book?

We’ll get in touch personally to confirm dates, room type, and any preferences (working remotely, travelling with a dog, quieter or more social stay).
